Yes! Our lessons are designed to guide you from the fundamentals into more advanced animation techniques. You do not need professional experience to begin—just curiosity, patience, and a willingness to practice.

We have a more college-style curriculum than what you would find on YouTube, that emphasizes fundamentals before diving into the software and techniques.

All Animation Society lessons are pre-recorded and available on demand, so you can learn at your own pace and revisit lessons anytime.

Each curriculum is organized into structured modules with video lessons, exercises, assignments, and portfolio-focused projects that build your skills step by step.

Those that enroll in the Spark journey do get a personal portfolio review and a 1-on-1 video call to discuss their career goals.

Depending on the learning path you choose, you can develop skills in 2D animation, 3D animation, character animation, motion graphics, modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, and more. Our training includes industry-standard programs such as Adobe After Effects, Blender, and Cinema 4D. Just note, that depending on the journey or plan you choose, an active Adobe Creative Cloud or Maxon Cinema 4D subscription (purchased separately) is required.

Choose a Journey for a structured path toward a larger learning goal, All Access for the freedom to explore the complete lesson library, or a Lesson Pack when you want to focus on a particular skill or software program. The best choice depends on how much you want to learn and how much structure you prefer.

Many of our lessons include practical exercises and portfolio-focused projects that help you apply what you are learning. We also explore production workflows, creative careers, freelancing, client work, and the business skills needed to turn your abilities into professional opportunities.

The timeline depends on your schedule, experience level, and chosen learning path. You can move through the lessons at your own pace and spend additional time practicing, completing projects, and refining your portfolio. Some lesson packs can be completed in a few weeks, whereas some Journeys could take up to a year or more to raelly absorb the material.

You will need a computer capable of running the software used in your selected courses, but you do not need the most powerful setup available. Starting with smaller projects and optimized workflows can help you learn effectively before investing in more advanced equipment.
